HI all,

*warning venting*

Sheesh the evening did NOT turn out like I was thinking it would. After the kids ate supper, lil one and I had a blast dancing to the music on my mp3 player, Son was not too happy that I had the tv off, but had it off so that he could finish his homework. It's the part after that that was not real good. took lil one upstairs to go to sleep, Son was not too happy that I had him eat supper instead of letting him wait til hubby and fil went out to eat so that he could go with them, well by the time they got ready to go it was well after 7pm. So son is upset at me for that. Then I almost get lil one to sleep and go to check to see where son was cause it was way too quiet. Well he said he was waiting for them to get home to do grandpa's trash (tonite is when he is suppose to take trash out for trash pickup in the morning). So he thought that I had an attitude when I questioned him about doing the trash in my room and the upstairs bathroom and he copped an attitude ad that is when things went pretty much downhill. So things got a bit loud and told son he would have consequences and he didn't like that and hence the "silent treatment" . I told son that he better think long and hard tonite cause if he has an attitude in the morning he will have even more consequences. It took lil one quite a while to settle back down too. son went and took his shower and went to bed, didn't say good nite cause he was giving me the silent treatment.

And here I was thinking (as I am first taking lil one upstairs)that I would get lil one to sleep, get to spend some time with the decks while waiting for the load of clothes to get done, sheesh was I wrong. :/

So I have been sitting here for the past hour lurking and trying to calm down some.

Thought I would see how everyone else's nite is going. Hope better than mine was

Thanks Yira,

We usually always seem to work things out before he goes to bed, but that didn't happen tonite :/ Hopefully we will get it worked out in the morning.

Anyway I thought I would get on here for afew mins and say hi and see how everyone is.

He's a teen and they get that way...logic isn't one of their strong points

Just keep on being strong like you were tonight, and he'll learn it's just not acceptable...(((K & son)))

Personally I rather enjoy the silent treatment

It's more pleasant than the muttering/slamming doors/stomping through the house treatment!
