Animals Divine - Two of Cups – Otter

Image of the card

Symbols*: The otters are playful spirits that inhabit large territories near the shore. They glide through the water with mellifluous strength. Their playful antics remind us that although a new skill may require concentrated effort, it is important to try to enjoy the process of learning. The otters swim in the green waters amid two golden cups. Their acrobatics appear spontaneous and energetic as they swim together in synchronized display, but they maintain their individual swimming routes as they plunge deeper into the illumintaed waters of inspiration and creative energy.

Description*: The otterss’ joyful demeanors can invigorate our own imagination. They are communicative, yet they display creative individuality. In a loving relationship, it is important to nurture and support the other without compromising your own individuality. We can love in a symbiotic manner without depleting the other because of disproportionate demands. It is important to maintain a balance of reciprocating love and respect. Creativity, imagination, passions, and emotional desires will remain intact if your loving relationships are balanced and mutually satisfying.

Keywords: Fulfill relationship of give and take, Love that is mutually nurturing, Inspiring, Creative

Constellation: 2 - The High Priestess, XI Justice, XX Judgment, and the Two's.

Possible Meaning: Relationships are all about giving but also receiving, but you mustn’t forget that love is mutual. Love is also mutually nurturing, it is inspiring. You may be creative at this time. The otters awaken curiosity, they are gentle reminders that everything is interesting if we look at it from the right angle. Allow events to unfold naturally in your life. Be careful not to hang on the material things in your life that bind you or become a burden. Become Otter and move gently into the river of life.

Thoughts/Points to Ponder: These otters are young and playful. They are in the deeper ocean than seals. They adapt to each new situation so easily, I love that! They’re also very curious and fast in their movements. All I feel is the love and excitement when I’m around them.

Otter – Joy, Primal Feminine Energies
Otters awaken curiosity. They remind us that everything is interesting if we look at it from the right angle. The Otter totem is connected to the primal feminine energies of life: the elements of both Earth and Water are present in Otter medicine. With an Otter totem, you must remember the beauty of a balanced female side, creating a space for others to enter our lives without preconceptions or suspicions. If you have an Otter totem, it may be time to find some playtime in your life, to awaken your inner child. Allow events to unfold naturally in your life. Be careful not to hang on the material things in your life that bind you or become a burden. Become Otter and move gently into the river of life.
