I'm back from the podiatrist - right insole still isn't right, they're going to have to make another one from the cast (she thinks they made a mistake when they made it, which they can't now correct)
So another 6-8 week wait! Ah well.

I'm not riding coz we'll be doing family bonding stuff (i hope)
So I'll try not to look

Custom fittings can be a bother, can't they?

Hubby & I were looking at some machine they have in a pharmacy where you supposedly stand on a platform & it measures for an insole set. Not sure I'd be comfortable paying $50 without any sort of human interaction.

Bummer about the insole, but at least they're sorting it out.

Yay on family time

G'morning all, everyone doing well today?

And I truly think that I in some ways projected the hurt I would have felt if I'd received a letter like mine onto her, and I am not at all sure she felt the way I would have (if that makes sense). I don't even know if she ever liked me in the first place - I really don't think so. I think I was a wailing-wall more than anything else. And a tie to our parents.
I think in part I'm trying not to 'hurt her feelings'. (although she certainly doesn't care when she hurts others' feelings when she's in the middle of her latest plan to bring someone down - yes, I truly believe she's intentionally vicious, and harms people without any guilt because she believes she's better than us. It's a religion thing...)

But mainly I just want to say, you know, you're damn lucky I'm even talking to you and I do that ONLY for Dad's sake. NOT because I feel any call of friendship for you or from you. So don't push me, or not even Dad will be enough to keep me talking to you..I'm not your friend. I'm your sister, I wish you the best, but I have no desire to establish a friendship. Communication so we can update each other on family needs is MORE than enough for me.

Hmm...maybe I should copy and paste that directly into a message for her.. lol

Mine have to have bits on the bottom of them, and do-da's to alter the set of my feet, since I developed the foot problems.
The first couple of sets of insoles were standard with bits added, but now they've decided they have to have plaster casts of my feet, done whilst you lie down to get 'non weight bearing' (!) and then make specific insoles from them.

Fortunately this is done on the Nationlal Health, because I know it's expensive to have done privately.

Do you have some foot problems then? (apart from your sore foot - ouch) Horrid if you do isn't it?

hi cardlady, pw, and wu, i'm going to bed soonish.

pw, that sounds like such a bother, needing a new insole (orthotic? ) made. It's so annoying when your feet aren't feeling right. I have orthotics due to one leg longer and arthritis problems. (((PW))) Having fun with jesii is a great reason for not riding the train

I've just decided i've got too much family stress happening at the moment, can't concentrate or enjoy a train properly. is dad's birthday today, and I've been managing not to get to stressed about that, until...I haven't heard from my uncle for weeks, so tried to ring him at his new place in devon, and found the number out of service
(insert banging head against wall smiley) . I'm worried he may be ill or something. there's no one i can contact to ask. *sigh*

hi yira, (((Yira))) oh, and zan!

Yira maybe you should.
Or at least copy it to a doc. and think about it for a day, and then re-word it if you feel it needs it, and then send it.

You never win with folks like that, you can never have the last word, or make them feel sorry - all you can do is protect yourslf and know that the truth is a cleaner place to be
(i think LOL)

Morning!
Jack says morning too

Morning. Not really in the mood for work today.

Just feeling very blah about this job, these days. Not feeling at all secure. I know they like me but the hours are just not there. And with the manager all in a tizzy over regulations right now, she's stirring up the office something fierce.

She went to a seminar on OSHA - not sure what the letters mean but they are a regulatory board and if they ever came to inspect, the doctor would be fined in the tens of thousands for all the violations.

Many are rather stupid and might be neccesary in a big city or large institution, but don't really make sense for us.

But we are going to be coming into compliance with alot of them.
