exactly! and i'm sure she meant ALL male bodies are ugly.

Thanks guys. I didn't know if I was being overly sensitive. I just feel that the review was somewhat mean and flippant over all. I by no means think you have to love a deck to write a review, but when the artists are often members here, I believe it's just gracious to follow the simple tenants of politeness. Have manners about it for Pete's sake! That's all I'm sayin.

I just seems to me it was said in a way that made the assumption that everyone would naturally agree with her. I happen to love men, bodies and all. I know the majority of folks here are woman, but I appreciate the male voice on this forum and wouldn't assume they won't read the reviews.

I got Tarot Decoded in the mail today, the book about dignities that everyone seems to recommend. Ex-library copy, but in really decent shape. I've read the preface and part of the first chapter. I think I might sit down with a couple decks this evening, after dinner, and work my way through part of it. Maybe take notes as I read.

I seem to have lost my old tarot notebook. There was reams of stuff in it too. Notes from books I read way back when, and will probably never see again... I haven't seen it since I moved, and I think I've looked in all the boxes more than once... Bummer But maybe it's just time to start a new one...

What a sweet kid! Mine has told me he ONLY likes the way I make broccoli, but that's about all I get when it comes to food. I think I'd collapse in astonishment if mine did what Emm did.

My Griselda, aka Grizzle Kitty was very ugly. According to my dad, anyway. I can see him standing there, holding onto the dresser for support, laughing his a@@ off. She was just walking by. He finally managed to say, "what the he!! is that!"

She had giant fang teeth. The baby teeth were bigger than the adult ones that replaced them. And still the adult teeth were too long to be inside her mouth. They just stuck out.

Her back legs were deformed. Her hips and knees were not right and required surgery to repair.

She hobbled like a ferret. I loved her dearly. I adopted her when she was about 2 months old and she lived to be 18. She was the only cat to move to Arizona from NY with us. I still miss her and think of her daily.

Okay, I will. I was a little annoyed with a certain review someone wrote about the Whispering Tarot. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like it when people are overly rude in their reviews. I think it's very helpful to list the things you both like and dislike about a deck, but isn't there a way to offer constructive criticism without being nasty? There was one comment made about the ugliness of the male body that particularly offended me. Just because you think the nude male is unattractive, doesn't make it a fact. I think we have a few men on his forum that might think that's somewhat harsh. Hmph!

Okay, just had to get that off my chest. I think I'm also very hormonal so things are getting to me more than normal.

Well, as I just got that Black Eyed Peas thing off my chest, glad you could share. Didn't read the review but find the idea disturbing. If she has body issues with men, that doesn't really reflect on the deck, but on her issues.

Congrats on the deck. Its one I've given up hope of having. Enjoy.
