Never seen either bit of kit - a neti pot, or the thing you used on your ears - but I do come from a strong "make do and mend" background ......

Could be fun?

At least you remembered! I'm about the least sentimental person in the world so I really struggle with such things. My significant other, however, can remember the exact date, time, and place we first spoke, first held hands, first had dinner, etc. It's... a little terrifying.
My husband is like that, too! I barely remember my birthday, but he remembers EVERYTHING!!

The ears thing was totally worth it. They wanted me to wait another week or so before they'd do it down at the doctors, but it damn well hurt! Used the wotsit and it worked really well. If this neti pot thing is as good as that, I'll be pleased I got it

When I actually do have a sinus thing going on, the neti pot works great. It rinses all that crap out and hydrates the tissues in the bargain. It's a little gross, and it can feel uncomfortable, but in more of a tickling kind of way than a painful kind of way, if that makes sense.

That is reassuring . Whilst I can cope with painful procedures I'd a damn sight rather they were just uncomfortable .......

Morning! (very Late morning.)

Its my last day off - of my unpaid vacation - so I figured why get up early.

I have coffee and have done a little deck shuffling. I have an overstock box, now and have moved all the Tarocco decks into it. And a few oracles. Moved my collection of first decks onto that shelf, making more space for the LS decks, which were getting scattered.

Oh, didn't need to hear that?

All your neti pot conversation is reminding me its time to soak my nostril.
I took one of my extra nostril screws, straightened it and then bent it again to allow more space for my poor nostril. The one I'd been wearing was way too short.

Its SOO much happier now, but I don't want to lose ground, so Sea Salt Soaks once a day. I add a bit of Betadine to it. Always does wonders for drying out and inflammation.

Oh I'm glad you found something that's helping it! How long is it since you had that piercing? It feels like a long time for it still not to have healed up?

I was pierced on January 13th. Nostril piercings are considered a cartilage piercing and is one of the more difficult to heal. Close to one year for full healing. Even when it appears healed on the outside, it is still healing inside. Since there is such poor blood circulation to cartilage, you have to allow for time.

You are not supposed to change jewelry til healing is complete, but I tend to have troubles with my initial jewelry and often have to mess with things til I find a piece that my body will accept.

I went with the longest piece I could find, but it was still short for me.

Wow! That is a long healing process :bugyed:. I had no idea! I can understand it, now that you've explained why but it's a long, long time ...

I'm glad you've sorted out something you can use in it - it will probably start to heal properly now
