K_D, I had grand plans all mapped out when I was your age (and younger) . . . none of them worked out. Now I just shrug and admit that I'll never know what I want to be when I'm grown up.
ETA: Can't have a midlife crisis when you don't miss anything that didn't get done.

I think I've just been running my whole life in whatever direction I was pointed at... and now that I'm WALKING from point A to point B... I'm getting restless.
Instant gratification takes too long.

The little tree is very cute! Still in a pot in the shade house, as it may be too tempting to the wallabies, and the heat here might not do it any favours... perhaps in Autumn it will find its way into the Earth

The one thing that my 14-year-old self had Exactly Right was the goal to make each decision by looking at all the possible angles- that way if it didn't go as I thought, I could honestly say I made it with the best knowledge I had at the time.
