<---going on a google search.... Thanks for the heads up! ETA: After looking at the images (and pointedly NOT looking at old threads, as I wanted to form my own opinion)- this deck will be off my wish list. Maybe I should open a thread about shamanistic decks and see what others are using??? ![]() Thanks again Mags!

Tarot of the Sweet Twilight
Hi everyone, would you please tell me something about the Sweet Twilight? I already read through some of the threads here, but I'm still indecisive... I first saw it online a while ago and liked the colours, but didn't really feel drawn to all of the images. During the last two weeks, the colours have been calling me repeatedly, but I went through the complete deck scans several times and still have no idea whether or not I want this deck. Still, every few days, these colours jump into my mind again and "force" me to look at the card scans again. ![]() Usually I'm pretty efficient in enabling myself, but this time, I'm confused. I'm also slightly afraid that the colours might be different on the real cards, since one of the reviews on amazon.com says that the colours look better on screen than they do on the cards. And I'm not sure I like these multi-language borders... Someone mentioned that some of the cards seem to have non-standard meanings, but I'd be okay with that, since I read intuitively anyway. I reached a point where I'm becoming more picky about which decks to buy and I feel that, apart from the very few that are still on my whishlist, I'm kinda "done" buying decks for the moment. (Let's see how long that lasts! ) But still, those colours...?Actually, this is not the best time for asking this question since I can't buy any decks until middle of June and if it turns out that I want the deck, I'd have to wait until then... But still, it keeps walking up and down in my head and then I'd be sure at least whether or not to put it on my whishlist. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

1- If you don't know, you don't really want it. 2- It's a lightweight teeney-bopper-angst deck. 3- It's failed competition for the Deviant Moon deck. 4- Get some markers and re-color a deck you actually like. __________________ " 'Tis an ill wind that blows no minds" Raven Kaldera * "I am NEVER off-topic" * ~Lillie~ |

Thanks for your answer! That's a real argument. Especially since ususally I'm pretty sure I want a specific deck... Quote:

But you're right of course in that the situation that I'm mostly drawn to the colours is really strange. My current plan is to look at it a few more times and then ask myself in June whether or not I want it. (But I guess, the more often I look at it, the more I might like it. That's usually how self-enabling works with me. )

looking at your decklist and wishlist, this deck is not going to be able to keep up with your other decks....it's going to feel like the misfit cousin from the branch of the family no one talks about...! It's not kind to bring it home to that~ __________________ " 'Tis an ill wind that blows no minds" Raven Kaldera * "I am NEVER off-topic" * ~Lillie~ |

Sweet Twilight
Ummmmm On the other hand as a 67 y/o granny - I absolutely LOVE this deck and have got some cracking readings from it - including one that reduced a mod here to tears. I genuinely think this is one with real depth. And some nice sidelong takes on some cards - I am particularly fond of the Tower.... __________________ ~ ~ I probably shouldn't be here. Sweet Twilight
And it's the only deck I know of with Yoda in it - which is a reason why I may have to re-purchase a copy. __________________ Over sea, under stone. |
