Mine is set to arrive today and I can't wait! The court cards are so difficult for me and the only decks I've found with "easier" court cards are the Tarot of the Boroughs and the Anna K. I'm excited about trying these out tonight

Got mine today but have to exchange it. The 9,10,P,Kn,Qn,Kg of Pentacles were not trimmed evenly with the rest of the deck and so protrude a bit and act like a Svengali deck. When cutting the deck, most of the time the cuts occur at those cards. |

Today was the day.
Today was the day that my copy arrived and after a quick flick through the book and a much slower pass through the cards, my initial impression is that the deck is just as good as I imagined and that the book is going to be even better than I expected. My fascination with cogs and mysterious machines that first drew me to the Tarot of Dreams now has a new place to settle in this deck. As a long time fan of the Agetha Heterodyne on line comic Girl Genius ( http://www.girlgeniusonline.com ) and all things steam punk, this deck really fits in with what I was looking for. I am yet to try a reading with it, but handling it felt good and I was easily able to pick something interesting and pertinent in each card I looked at. I'm not sure if it will ever be a "Classic" but it will definatly be one of the decks of 2012. Not owning a Rider-Waite deck my self, but reading my way through Rachel Pollacks 78 Degrees of Wisdom, this will be my referral deck as it definitely is a closer match than any of my others. Just my initial thoughts and my attempt at projecting the smooth joy riffling through this deck gave me. Cheers, Phineas |

I've not bought a deck in a good while... I kind of stopped buying & have enjoyed using what I have... but, I WILL be ordering this one this week. I've looked at the images and they've grabbed me. I adore Steampunk & the cards I've seen just seem to come to life before me... I Cannot WAIT to get this!

Alright, all right, I wanted free shipping on my Amazon book order, so I moved this deck from my wish-list there to the shopping cart. Just rationalizing the purchase. I've been on the fence with this one, but some people in this thread can be awfully good enablers. I agree with what many others have said here--and it's an important factor to me--readability. I love to get lost in the stories depicted in the cards. The black borders didn't hurt either. I'm a big fan of that other steampunk deck mentioned earlier, so I hope this steampunk deck doesn't seem forced. |

This deck is looking better all the time. (BTW, any chance someone can talk Phil into a "Girl Genius Tarot"? )

I'm totally new to tarot, I just got my Hanson-Roberts deck yesterday, but I used a gift card to order this deck. I love steampunk, and I had an instant connection to the cards just as I did my HR. Uh-oh, I wonder if I'm starting a deck collection along with my learning to read tarot... |

aarrghh. Still waiting for mine to arrive. Hopefully it will be the same time as the book I ordered (Around the Tarot in 78 Days). It may be worth my while in using the two in tandem and really taking my time to get to know the deck. I just sense it has potential to be added to my main reading sub-section of decks. Dear lord Shadowdancer your deck is taking long to get to ya. I feel for you! But I think you will really be pleased with it. I just adore mine! They read beautifully...and the book was a pleasure read with some really good stuff in there. The images speak for themselves...and the artwork is gorgeous! I can see what Le Fanu mentioned with the court cards, but oddly it hasn't bothered me with this deck at all. __________________ I probably shouldn't be here.
