He's doing very well- exercising and losing weight steadily. When he did a phone consult with his employer's program, the lady seemed impressed. At times, he still has pain in his liver area. It's toughest at work in the computer chair since he can make it recline back any.

She is on here, yes. She's kind of... everywhere. She's my IRL best friend and former roommate - not only is she on AT with me, we work for the same employer and live about two blocks apart. We see each other A LOT (and I never, ever get tired of her )!

Instructions?! Uhhhh... I didn't really think that part was important. I worked out how to do it in my head at least and it seems like it should be simple enough. I think I'm more or less sewing a big box inside out then turning it right side out and sewing it to itself... This may be a hilarious disaster, but I shall provide pictures either way!

Yay! No digging around for it.

Hey *whispers* I have a question. What's a focus (in terms of the reading exchange)? Is that just the question for the reading?

Just approach it as learning It takes a bit to get used to a machine... I've used them since I was a girl and it's still a bit of an adjustment when I use one I've never used before, or when it's been awhile. It sounds fun!

Quite possibly... I might take the opportunity to get one with a different design. Mine is like this one but I've read that ones shaped more like this one are easier to use. For sure, with mine I have to get into some pretty weird contortions to get the water to run through.

K. says he'd be too embarrassed to use one at work. And I started thinking how you'd want to clean/sanitize the sink for the next person, and it started to sound like a pain to use one at work anyway, so I don't blame him.

Conversation from last night:
Me: I can't remember how to anchor a stitch...
BF: You push the button.
Me: button?
BF: The "anchor" button.
Me: *looks at sewing machine, sees not a single button*
Me: *remembers that sewing machine is about three years older than boyfriend*
Me: Never mind...

Thankfully I have others to ask for sewing help...

I have a ceramic one like yours and a metal one shaped more like that second one. I'd agree that I find that shape easier to handle.

*nods* I want a stainless steel one, I think. Like this one maybe. Very classic looking.

Anchoring stitches -- I was taught to do it by running forward a few stitches, then backward over them, then forward again. I've never seen a machine with an anchor button

That's like the one I have! And yes, that is exactly how my mother told me to anchor it. I trust her far more than him on that subject, hehe.

BTW, remember back in the day when I said my laptop battery was kind of acting up, and some of you guys said you had had issues with Macbook Pro batteries? Mine swelled to about twice its size this weekend. Luckily they gave me a free replacement, but SCARY!

I was reading headlines last night & they said the new iPad was running hotter. Wonder if people will start having trouble with them. I know my brother seems to run his constantly. Good thing he's had a vasectomy & is through procreating, right?

Yes - it's just which area of your life, or what specific thing you want them to read on

Look at what you're running from, is it really acid or might it be a marshmallow?

Holy Minolli! It actually swelled up? That's terrifying! I looked up "Macbook Pro battery swelling" up, and Google Images is full of pictures of these bloated batteries. I'm so glad you got a replacement... but...
