The only one I've been given was my first deck, and I had to give it back. (Then there have been trades here, but those are not exactly gifts.) Someday maybe K. will give me one as a present -- I would like that I've done my in-house stuff and now need to go run errands. And I MIGHT get my hair chopped off. I was waiting till I got 12 inches so I could donate to Locks of Love, but I just realized I had that wrong. It needs to be 10 inches, not 12. I definitely have 10 inches of hair to donate! ![]() But it kinda depends on how I feel. I don't have a stylist here. I will cruise past Mastercuts in the mall and see how long a wait there is for walk-ins. And if I don't get freaked out (cutting that much hair is a big step) then I'll do it... I am so ready to get it cut, though. It takes SO long to wash, condition, and rinse. I have to pull it all up onto my pillow to sleep, or K. rolls over onto it and pulls it. It gets caught in things. And the grown-out bangs still look stupid even though they're sort of blended in. I'm over it! Long hair begone! Chin length bob here I come. __________________ Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc. |

Fabulous accomplishment with the hair, Laura! Oink, I don't feel comfortable with the "usual" idea of reading for anyone. That goes for in person or online. I am always uneasy telling ~ my personal thinking mode is to ask questions from all angles. So, I guess I don't think anyone would be interested in just chatting together about what cards came up and them drawing their own conclusion about what to Do. |

Y'know Oink, I'd be happy to exchange with you anytime - I guess Chiska would too and maybe some of the other mATes .... we'd just open a thread of our own in the Reading Exchange . We could go one card, two card - whatever. Just something to think about maybe . Also, if you came to the Newbies Circle one month, most are new to reading, or reading online - and are very very nervous about it ....Laura - brave, brave Laura!! I need my hair trimming. I really do. But I need the David Gilmour Live in Gdansk more

I'm actually more comfortable doing on-line readings than face-to-face. I have time to think, to analyze each picture and form my interpretations. Even a three card spread can take me a half hour or more to "write up". I just can't imagine an in-person querent sitting there watching me staring at one card, then another. __________________ "My Clan is Ghost Cat [...] we do not seek conflict. Yes Oink, I'd be happy to swap cards with you in a the kind of thread that Wendy mentioned too. I like distance reading, once I found out I could do it. I don't try to 'understand' it beyond my view that everything is just energy, and so all energy touches all other energy if you think about it ![]() That said, I like F2F too - read for a friend this afternoon, went well and she 'paid' with chocolate muffins, what's not to like? ![]() Laura, well done you. I love my long hair so much, I have been known to weep when having some cut off. It's very much a part of who I am and how I see myself. I would hate to loose it, - bless you for donating. __________________ Deep in the green; call loudly in the woods if you want me! |

Exactly. I was taught how to do "distance Reiki" so why not distance tarot? Energy is energy; thought is thought. And, from a certain point of view, thought is energy too. __________________ "My Clan is Ghost Cat [...] we do not seek conflict. Cinnamon is just the smartest little thing! Her water bottle was low, but instead of wheeking for attention, she was nudging her smaller food dish to bang against the spout. Too cute! And when I filled a new one, she licked my fingers saying Thank You.

Why am I thinking about those old movies, with the prisoners rattling their cups across the jail bars? __________________ "My Clan is Ghost Cat [...] we do not seek conflict. Too funny, NT! But she and her cage bedding just got a wash so she's frisking happily. She had turned the bowl upside down and was smacking it to where larger drips came out and pooled in a lower corner. |
