Soda pop is just so nasty and sweet. And it really doesn't "refresh" or "quench" for me. But nice ice cold sparkling water with a lime is so refreshing on a hot day.

Now, I'm thirsty!

When I was a kid, I liked Bubble Up (midwest version of 7Up). Never cared for colas at all. My mom rarely let us have soda pop so it was a big treat. But at some point, it got too sweet. I think that they increased the sugar content over the years or something.

I am just really happy that our water is so good. I love water and drink it almost exclusively. I have about 1 cup of tea per day and sometimes some coffee. But mostly, I drink water. But if I wanted a sugary drink - I love lemonade!! We have a good recipe where we make a syrup from sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Then you can just add water when you want a lemonade. It is nice because you can add as little or as much sugar as you like. I gotta find that recipe...summer might be here one of these days!
