I've Got Opalite Lust!

Gia, I'm glad you posted this about the opalite. I do have an affinity for it; I have some beautiful jewelry made with opalite and I like it a lot. It does have a positive, soothing vibe!

I'm so eager to fine a really gorgeous, unusual opalite pendant! I enjoy carrying my smallest angel with me...but I thinkit would be even nicer to wear it!

Wow, I thought I knew a lot about gems and minerals, but I didn't know opalite was made from opals and labradorite!!

That explains everything. When I first discovered it, I was entranced with it and made some jewelry out of it. Then when I found out it was man-made, I assumed that meant "fake" and so lost respect for it (yes, a gem snob, lol). Now I know what it is made of, I feel quite happy to use it again. Will have to see if I have any beads of it left!

Lol! I am a snob too! I initially bought a pendant that I thought was moonstone...when I found out that it was synthetic, I tossed it aside! But when I found that first angel...I knew I had to do some research! It is most assuredly my "feel good" stone!

When I took my sister to the mall yesterday, I checked around for opalites but couldn't find any. I had hoped. I do have my ol' boss at the New Age Shop looking for me too, but it could take her awhile, as she only meets with her gem supplier once or twice a month. I am going to try and get to the new age shop here and check out their crystal selection. Opals are my birthstone, and I also love the opalite.
