Welcome back, BatChicken! We missed you! ![]() Re. the New Vision, I'm not even a RWS person but I have that set and I really like it - for the same reasons others dislike it, funnily. It absolutely IS one person's imagining of what could be going on "behind the scenes", and a lot of it seems fairly random, especially at first glance. I wouldn't have it any other way - what would it add, as a deck, without that element of originality? If it were limited to depicting the exact same set of figures, activities, and symbolism as the RWS but from the back, I wouldn't find it interesting - I operate under the assumption that PCS chose the correct perspective to get her point across. If you're not a companion book person, I don't know that you'd find the deck compelling because you'll be sitting there going the whole time. However, with the companion book, it becomes something that's kinda comparable to fanfic: you have all the same main characters and settings, but an original riff on other stuff that they might be doing. It expanded my perspective on the cards in a totally unexpected but fun way.

Hi Laura! ![]() I have over 500 photos to go through now.... Visual overload! I am sure there will be a few paintings out of them! In between, I am trimming my back-up Mary-El. My brain is not ready to jump back into the study group quite yet. I have a lot of writing to catch up on for other things anyway! New paintings! ![]() My brain hasn't been up to Mary-el lately either. Or maybe my brain's just somewhere else. I still love it though. __________________ Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc. |

Hi everyone, I am up from my nap. Had about 30 mins of sleep and then the phone woke me up, and then had about another 45 mins or so before waking up and realizing that teen would be home from school shortly and so had to go unlock the door and lil one got up before I got down the stairs, LOL. __________________ What happens in the Trade Train Cafe stays in the Trade Train Cafe! You know how you wanted a Thoth beginners' thread? I was wondering what you had in mind for it? Just a thread where basic question/answer stuff could happen without starting a new thread for each question? And you mentioned directions to vast resources and so on... would that be different from the Index thread in the Thoth section? I ask because I was thinking of starting one but I wanted to know more about what people wanted. __________________ Sic gorgiamus allos subjectatos nunc. |

I don't know. Not helpful. LOL The thing is, AT is a "learning forum", and so maybe a thread would be redundant?...I dunno, I just feel intimidated in some forums, sometimes for good reason 'cause I know NOthing, but I've been through many of those links and it's not what I want when I'm looking. Here's an example question. I don't know anything about the ToL. What is the purpose of the paths between the sephiroth? I'm not asking about a specific path, but the overall beginner picture. I've not seen that addressed in either the Thoth forum or the Kabalah forum. I'm sure it's something simple, but I sure as hell don't wanna start a whole new thread for some thing so simple. So, a thread for...well...questions like that. I'm too tired to be coherent. Sorry
