And I'm back from the used furniture store with an odd coffee table, but then the whole experience was ODD.

We took DD to get her shot this morning before noon and there's a used furniture store...the same one I bought my couch from. I was looking for Tarot storage, but that was a bust. ANYhoo....We're getting out of the truck and her boyfriend says they say their open 7 days a week, and I said, "They Lie." He laughed until....they were closed...LOL

I even went into the 7-11 next door and asked. The clerk said, he's open 7 days. We had a short interchange, and then I said,
"well, he's not there NOW, the door is locked."

The clerk says, "Well, sometimes he goes somewhere else."

Me, "So, he's closed!" DUhhhhhhhhh

Anyway we went back later.

So what's this odd coffee table like?

Mine was supposed to be one of those large screened tv stands, with drawers in it etc. Instead it's my coffee table, with the drawers and cubbyholes being Elaina's toy chests..she loves it

She runs in the door and to the coffee table and starts pulling out goodies...

aYup! I'm camped for the night.

I have a VERY odd situation here. Yesterday, DD's boyfriend got kicked out....this family is a HUGE morass of emotional mess. I said he could stay with me since DD is staying with her Dad this week. It's been nice having her around during the day, but the whole thing is just ODD. The past few weeks. WOW!

Sad to have family kick out a teen though

Hardly gives him a good head-start on life....

How can it be legal to kick a minor out of your house? I mean, I know there are extreme circumstances on a case-by-case basis, but legally a parent is responsible to care for their child . . . right? Are there legal responsibilities on the part of someone who takes in a minor?

It's just...It's taller than the sofa seats, which is great for the laptop, it's nice wood (although it does need to be re-finished), ***sigh***

I just suck at interior decorating. I LIKE it, but it's not really in the same style as the blue furniture...but then the recliner doesn't really fit in either. I'm such a typical Taurus....COMFORT above ALL!!!!

It's not that I don't like him, I just like him & DD together. It's VERY complicated, but....

Well, yeah, he's only staying for the week, and to be honest, I'm pretty sure he'll be gone by monday.
