Ex-stepdad actually. The one I have now is a good'un..if I'd been a lucky person, he woulda been the dad I was born with ♥ I'm not, but I did get lucky that he became my dad later on!

Stormdancer: Basically yes. A couple of customers had bank cards that wouldn't work and it caused a domino effect at the other checkout lanes when other people went to another lane and tried to use their cards that didn't work. My poor manager was running around trying to help people and trying to get help on the phone.

Yet I had a customer with a Discover card that did work, and we started figuring out Visa was down. Eventually the whole thing began working again.

I've had incidents where the whole internet was down and then NOTHING works.

Not cool at all.

Scary as hell when stuff doesn't work and it involves $. Sounds like a frustrating day for all involved.
