No, not altered just by adding borders. It is based on the Fournier, but the backgrounds have been altered; it's as if the figures have been transposed onto wholly new backgrounds. There are other differences too - look at the sun in Le Soleil. I attach scans of Le Soleil, Le Bateleur, Le Mat and 10 de Coupes. __________________ When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye La ilaha illa Allah Last edited by Wendywu; 09-05-2012 at 06:08. |

thanks Wendy! It's nice to see some large photos of some of the cards. |

i used to have this round one from Argentina. It looks [to me] like the same artwork. http://go.webassistant.com/rich/uplo...d_marsella.jpg Personally, in all honesty, i really didn't care for it very much; It had quite thin cardstock, etc. i was a bit disappointed and traded it away to someone who loved it. To each his/her own. i don't think the round shape really lends itself well to Marseille.

Going back to one of our exchanges in the Newbie exchange, can I assume that this deck is the Noblet, since I know no specific name for this particular deck of mine. __________________ The wind of change blows straight, into the face of time - Scorpions |

No, the Noblet is this one: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/jean-noblet/ I always call the one we are talking about in this thread "the Argentinian TdM" simply because I have no idea what else to call it ![]() I don't much care for its thinner cardstock, but I do like the images on the cards. They have a very warm feel about them. __________________ When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye La ilaha illa Allah |

Finally my Tarot whom I referred to as the "Babaji Tarot" (since I too was clueless about its name) has a new name...The Argentinian TdM (until further specifics arrive)
