The number 8
I've just recently started keeping a dream journal, and the other morning when I woke, all I could remember was the number 8, and it was made out of copper. I've tried researching this, as I know this is trying to tell me something. I even went to the shop later that day, and bought a number 8 scratch card....... But no luck : ) So if anyone can give me any insight into this number 8, I will be most interested to hear this. |

In numerology eight means money and status. __________________ For me, painting is a way to forget life. It is a cry in the night, a strangled laugh.- Georges Rouault |

Yes very interesting thought, I never thought of looking at this from a numerology point of view. I think as it was made out of copper aswell, I should have realized this was to do with money mmmmm. |

Copper 8 quinolate is a chemical used in the treatment of wood (wood preservative). 8 can sometimes be seen as a lemniscate (symbol for infinity) when turned on it's side. Copper has long been used as an aid to those with rheumatism and is reputed to play a part in healing of tissue damage, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Somehow the body re-distributes copper when our bodies are under threat by disease and chelated copper supplements are being considered by physicians for such chronic, longterm and degenerative diseases. Copper conduct electricity really well, being the core of virtually all electrical cables. Metaphysically it is used in wands to conduct energy and in the past, copper bowls and plates were used by European witches as scrying containers and for other magical workings. |

8 in numerology is about other sorts of spiritual power, not just money and status... think of it too as the lemniscate, the symbol of eternity/karma etc over the Magician's head in the tarot. It's also the number of the Strength card in tarot. Eight is a number of balance and strength. In the Minor Arcana the 8s are all cards of implied movement. So in that respect I would say your dream was telling you to move forward with confidence... it could also be a reference to the 8 of coins, coins traditionally being made of copper... It might also be a prediction dream, for instance perhaps you will find yourself at someone's front door and they have a big door number 8 made out of copper. You may not know why this 8 was important until the future event happens... |
