How does Pearl impact one's period?

I hope this is the right forum to post in although pearl is technically no crystal and definitely not a herb but It does fall under one of the 9 precious gems, so...

Anyway, I want to know what the impact of wearing pearl during menstruation would be on the amount of the flow or any other discomfort. I usually wear a pearl ring set in silver on my left hand pinkie, but during my time of the month I am confused whether to remove it or not. Would it help decrease the flow and ease the pain?

Inputs would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance

P.S. do you know of any herb/crystal to lessen the pain and the flow? I am drinking herbal mint teas and having vanilla ice cream (I have heard it reduces the flow, but whatever! It is a delicious remedy). The latter does lessen the pain but not for long. eventually it does come back. So, can someone help me out?

Oh Damn. I just - like within the past week or so - read or heard about something else that is supposed to help with this stuff. I guess along with EPMS (extreme PMS) and EMP (early menopause) I am also suffering from CRS (can't remember shit).

+++ considering today is the big day, off I run to my jewelry box to put on every piece of pearl jewelry I own+++
will report back with results....

I think you should bring out the ice cream and see if that works

I have no first-hand experience with this particular issue, as...well, I'm a guy...but I've been getting very into crystals and stones lately, and I just checked a bunch of my informational resources for you...

It seems that the one stone that gets mentioned more than any other as being an excellent helper with respect to this is Moonstone.

Others that get name-checked more than once are Chrysocolla, Bloodstone, and Magnetite (Lodestone), and I found single references to dark-colored Opal, Labradorite, and Serpentine.

I didn't turn up much on Pearl, but what little I found says it helps mainly with things of a digestive nature -- it probably wouldn't hurt you to wear it during the intervals in question, but it seems like it's not widely hailed as being a big help with this, either...?

I personally don't yet know enough to talk about whether wearing/using multiple stones at once is good or bad: do they interfere with each other, or maybe instead boost each other's effects, or even produce entirely new effects...? I think you might want to start out by getting yourself a really nice Moonstone and see if that helps, and if not, experiment with a few of the others I listed. Good luck!!

You're welcome! Happy to help -- I've really been exploring crystals and stones kind of intensely lately, so researching is actually fun...

I just noticed a not-too-old thread started by Hemera about pearls that might have some useful info about them...

Thank you so much frac_ture! That was really nice of you to go to all that lengths and get me the information that I needed. Anyhow, I think I will just get myself a pretty moonstone for the next time when, as they say in the Memoirs of a Geisha.. "the clouds pass over the moon" . Good luck with your crystal research!

You're welcome -- it was no trouble! Great quote you used...and look, even it referenced the Moon! I think Moonstone is your best choice to start with -- my three favorite gemstone websites and "The Crystal Bible" (the guidebook I got last week for exactly such research) all mentioned it, and Bhavana heard the same thing, so...there you go! I hope it helps you, and thanks for the kind wishes about my own new efforts to get all versed in gem-lore!
