playing card inserts

I have a question about playing card inserts. I was reading with the Piatnik Lenormand yesterday and got these cards

Snake/Queen of Clubs - Whip/Page of Clubs - Clouds/King of Clubs

Could this be read as a dispute (Whip) between a man (Clouds) and a woman (Snake)?

Absolutely! I'd even go so far as to say that she will seek to argue with him!

Oh, how interesting! That is what I thought.

The Clouds was followed by Sun and Birds. My sense was that they were trying to get away from an argument or some source of stress, which would make sense with the Sun following Clouds. I know Birds can mean worrysome conversations too but maybe less stressful than Whip?

With the sun and birds, I think they'll settle on the misunderstanding.

Birds aren't as worrisome as they are 'miscommunication' at times. Crossed signals. Maybe the argument will be quickly resolved and the misunderstanding will be cleared up. I'd mirror he cards to see more details.

So I'd look at Snake and Birds and then Whip and Sun?

(Note to self: Read up on mirroring)

1-2-3-4-5

1 // 5
2 // 4
3 is central to the subject at hand.

Thanks, LE. I read the thread on mirroring here and will give it a go.

1//5: Snake // Birds
The woman initiated the conversation

2//4: Whip // Sun
because she was insisting on clarity

3: Clouds
in a situation that caused confusion (the situation involved the man in the Clouds).

I haven't tried 5//1 and 4//2. Not sure the reading would be different if I did read them back to front.

Birds

Birds - according to some - can also mean a couple. Is that right? And in my deck it definitely is a male and female bird of the same species, the male chasing the female. I wonder whether that should be taken into account when reading the card?

It can certainly mean a couple, and with the whole story about an argument, it could be a lovers' dispute, then kiss an make up, and all's lovey-dovey after.

It all depends on what type of reading you are doing. Given the arguments and the man /woman aspect, they could have both meanings. So, snake birds could mean she misunderstood... Meanwhile, sun and birds could mean that the couple is happy again.

It's a catch all card. It can be a couple, often older like grandparents and aunts and uncles. With Child it can be a pregnancy. It shows up a lot in arguements. As its talking and stress.

Other times its twos or doubles - with Cloverleaf or Sun its double luck or double big luck.
