Okay. Back from the neighborhood store. Made my thickened sugar syrup. Crumble is now in the oven.

awesome ideas, Chiska and TCO

Chiska, do you have the cookbook called "Complete Gluten-Free Cookbook - 150 gluten free, lactose free recipes, many with egg-free variations" by Donna Washburn and Heather Butt?

If not, I shall be perfectly happy to post it to you...

ETA - Enjoy, NT do you have some vanilla ice cream to serve it with? Yummy with Maple syrup and walnut ice cream too... *drools*

I do not have that - I have heard it is quite good.

Thank you for your kind offer, but I don't really do much GF baking. Just cookies. I have "regular" cook books and just alter as necessary.

If you meet anybody who is newly diagnosed, that would be a lovely book for them to have! ((((( Lotus )))))

That's a good idea, Chiska - I have been spring cleaning and trying to find homes for my nice things that I never use...

Have fun in the sun I am about to do same...

bye!

My recipes, when I use a recipe, are usually modified by what I have around. For example, when Hubby and I were moving out of the Old Place, we found some whole wheat flour being given away by another person who was moving out and didn't want to carry it with them. So now all our baking is whole wheat, at least until the bag of flour runs out.

@Lotus Padma...

I'd be delighted to offer a good home to your gluten-free cookbook!

I'm watching one of those "live camera cop shows" on television, only because today's episode is in my city.

I'm giggling from a phrase the officer just used. "Nothing criminal here, just a consensual fight between siblings."
