Chalcopyrite (Peacock Ore)

This week I'll be spending time with a chunk of chalcopyrite and I have to say......
this stone looks fake. The one I have is blue and purple and it's a nice size chunk. Despite that I carried it in my pocket all day at work today : )

I chose to work with this crystal because when I asked my pendulum if there were any crystals I needed to work with.....my pendulum made big circles around this stone.

From what I've read this stone is good for meditation....so last night I did a short meditation and asked my stone if there was anything it wanted to show me/anything I needed to know. I held it in my right hand. Almost immediately I could feel my feet vibrating and then I noticed the vibration in of all places my face. This vibration had a soft/soothing feel to it. I put the stone in my pillowcase and no dreams....I just tossed and turned all night.

So these are my first experiences with this crystal.

Just some additional info I wanted to post here....

Peacock Ore - Term used to describe Chalcopyrite or Bornite with a colorful iridescent tarnish effect, which is usually artificially enhanced with acid. Most Peacock Ore is sold as a variety of Bornite, when in fact most Peacock Ore is actually Chalcopyrite.

Note: This is not the same stone as Peacock Ore also known as Bornite, even though they have similar chemical structures. Chalcopyrite is CuFeS2 and Bornite is Cu5FeS4. They do not have the same healing qualities. The stone that I am writing about here has a stronger action at the higher chakras than Peacock Rock, so make sure you get the right stone as some retailers are selling them as the same stone.

The stone I purchased was sold as Peacock Ore so at this point I can't say which stone it is but wanted to put this information here. In either case I'm going to continue working with this stone and will share my experiences.

I'm almost finished with this stone so I'll put what I have so far here. I've been taking this stone to work everyday and putting it in my pillowcase at night.
One night I remember having the same dream at least 3 times and then the next night I remember dreaming but can't recall the dream.
I tried meditating with this stone on my crown chakra and nothing really different but I could feel my whole head vibrating which was kind of weird.

I do have to laugh at this......"It is known to assist you to find something you have lost but it may even get lost to you as well." (this is from healing crystals for you) Now when I started out the week I really didn't pay much attention to this. Yesterday I took the stone out of my pocket and was moving it back and forth between trays. (in the back of my truck) Well I got home last night and realised I didn't have my stone and wasn't sure what I did with it. (other than I didn't bring it home with me.) When I got to work this morning I looked through my tub of bad mail...nope not there. So I went out on the dock and found the trays with my route number (these were stacked in between other trays) There was my Peacock Ore. If the trays had been sent out that would of been the last of my stone. So straight in my pocket it went.

I don't know if this had anything to do with my stone but last night I was dreaming and as usual didn't recall what about. (no stone in my pillowcase) This morning at work one of the guys said something to the guy next to me and like a flash....I remembered that I had been dreaming about someone. (it wasn't either of these guys)

So only a few days left and nothing really spectacular to report.

Well....last night I tried to do one last meditation with this stone. This time I sat in a chair and never felt so antsy in my life. I just couldn't get comfortable and after what was probably only 5 minutes I gave up. When I went to sleep I had a dream and in it I was holding my Peacock Ore. LOL I have no idea why.

So nothing really spectacular to report. I seemed to have dreamed more than usual and the bits of my dreams I do remember revolve around work and people I don't really associate with.

The next time I work with this stone I think I'll combine it with something else.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who had trouble with this stone. It makes an nuisance of itself, doesn't it?

LOL pink daliha : ) It was an experience though overall I'm not really impressed with this stone and why next time I'll combine it with something else.

Ahaha and I can't imagine almost losing it considering the size of it.
