Bone Readings?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone or many of you can help me. I am being drawn to reading with bones. My animal spirit guide has been quiet insistant that I ask. A number of readers have also seen me reading with bones and My guide the Hare has said that its 'in my blood'.

I guess I have a few questions, so bare with me if you will. How have you acquired your bones?

For me its not like I can go out into the bush and just happen upon a set of bones. I know on places like etsy there are people who sell bits of bone ( example: http://www.etsy.com/listing/75861164...isman-necklace ) ,but due to Australias strict quarentine laws they would never make it here.

How did you learn to read the bones?

I keep getting a strong pull that I need to use a mixture of rabbit and hare bones, but as there are none that are around me at present I was thinking of commissioning someone who works with polymer clay to make me a set based on the animal's anatomy.

Does anyone know someone who would be willing to make me a set? (obviously I'll pay them!)

Anyway I have to run, My daughter is screaming her head off! Will pop in later to see if I can think of anything else

Blessings
Little Hare

For me (so this is distinctly how I work but not necessarily appropriate for you or anyone else) the bones have to come to me; a gift from the Universe so to speak. Sometimes, however, that means that I feel drawn to take myself off somewhere, away from the bustle of daily life and out into nature, then go where I feel drawn. If it is hare and rabbit that speak to you, you may need to go where they are or ask the Hawk where he finds them.

If I come across anything here I will let you know.

well... if I were you I'd probably search online for places near by that sell rabbit meat or soemething of the like , there must be one , besides I did a quick search and aparently "rabit meat farming is one of australia's fastest growin idustries" X)

... besides, I was under the impression than rabbits were a plague in australia , it shouldnt be that hard to find bunny-bones

just keep your eyes open !

and about how to read with them I found this http://readersandrootworkers.org/wik...Natural_Curios

but I guess you could try to learn it the same way some learn with bits of stones , they just find the rock peble or obect and discern and/or give a meaning to it , it'd probably be easier if you check for the meanings of specific body parts and group of bones , at leats that's how I'd do it , plus you could always ask the hare.

When i was in australia i used to buy rabbit from the local butcher, if you make a stew with the meat the bones will be perfectly boiled and seeing as the meat will fall from the bones you shouldnt have a problem. Well thats my view anyhow, personally i dont see what the problem is getting rabbit bones. The last time i bought a rabbit from W/A last year it was only 20 dollars which is nothing.

I believe Wendywu once made an oracle from the bones of a chicken that was a family dinner. Maybe she can tell you more? (Of course that's only an option if you eat meat.)

The bones I have (some of which are part of an oracle) have all been found by me. Either by themselves or as part of whole dead animals (e.g. roadkill) that I took home, buried in the garden, and dug out again after about a year for the bones. A few were given to me as gifts from friends who also acquired them in similar ways. Finally, there are two pig bones that came with the lunches of two of my coworkers (those aren't oracle bones, though).

Yep - the Roast Garlic Chicken Oracle. Still got it, and use it regularly . The bones are sooo light in weight now, so smooth and so clean. It's a good oracle for me; highly personal and I am very fond of it.

Talking Chicken bones

I remember once a long time ago Googling 'Throw the Bones' or something similar, and finding great directions for reading chicken thigh bones. So - bake a chicken and save dem bonz! You'll be a big hit at The Colonel's!
