Yep, the dogs would run right over top of it. I have it sitting in front of my AV stand, to catch ambient light that way, and have been leaving the front curtains open - which of course leads to more barking but I'm hoping between the two it'll be happy til summer comes. And I'll get it its very own droplight and grow bulb before winter
