Hi Ellie I noticed you're my Circle partner. Do you want to start the reading thread, or should I? Okay, talking to myself again. Got lost in the Marseille forum. Happens a lot these days; the old threads from 2004 onwards are truly interesting. I find myself copy endless posts into my TdM journal - I wish some of those posters would come back back. But I know the membership is all about ebb and flow, and whilst some go, others arrive. But I love those really old threads

Have you done any of the TdM exchanges hosted by Le Charior? It is fun because you run into people that really don't "inhabit" the rest of the forum. |

And funnily enough, I just got lost for a long time reading up on Shelley cos I had heard rumours but never got to grips with what it was all about. Been to loads of threads and have an idea what is happening. Brilliant idea. Reminds me of how some primary schools start a book with a photo of a teddy and the book is sent to a list in the same way, and the recipients send a postcard back to the school while teddy is visiting them, and also put pix and writing in the journal before sending him/it on. Wish I'd been around in AT for, oh, millions of years like some of you. I still have to live in hiding at home... |

I just read that thread (about Shelley) the other day! It was quite fascinating. I missed the whole thing when it started. |

I better go to bed. I have a busy day tomorrow - if the weather holds. But first, I promised hubby I'd cook him breakfast. Then garden planting! |

I remember when Le Fanu started us off with Frankie - that seems a long time ago now! I had great fun when Frankie came to stay . I had a Spawn of Frankendeck that himself made for me and I love it. He did fronts and backs and did them all the same size as the original cards which wasn't easy at all. Very time consuming, but so lovely to look at. Then I gave that deck away and he made me another, with all the cards done to a standard size so that some are larger than their originals and some are smaller . I still have that one.I turned the posts in the journal thread into book form, with the images inserted in the text and each poster has a chapter detailing their time with Frankie. I haven't quite finished - some posters added literally hundreds of images and it got a bit tedious. I have three to go, I think. I've downloaded all the images and text; just need to put it all together for those last few. __________________ When I was a child/I caught a fleeting glimpse/Out of the corner of my eye La ilaha illa Allah Last edited by Wendywu; 06-05-2012 at 17:47. |

Another one for my Add to Reading List in Safari... I get to them all in the end ![]() Now I'm going to get dressed and do some work - as in paid work, or there'll be no more decks. Ever. (How come that New Palladini dropped through the door the other day?) |

That's a lovely deck; there are some wonderfully strong looking people in it. I must go and visit my in-laws, who dislike me. I'm so looking forward to it . But if I don't go, neither will himself, and they do want to see him so off we go .....
