I have been brainstorming as the basic answer suggests and acting on some of those things including a Craigslist ad. I probably will have to invest some money into online ads just to stand out as the Empress suggests. The free, basic listings on search engines aren't quite doing it. Good to know I am thinking in the right direction.

I also may just need to take the business or at least my profession in another direction as the Chariot suggests.

I'm glad to see the Universe as what I am receiving. I am getting calls back on some of the contract jobs I've inquired about.

I am being pro-active and have been thinking about doing articles for free publications and/or presentations to get my name out there.

The Wheel is certainly how I feel right now even emotionally ups and downs, but my business in terms of revenue is dead to a large extent because I kept clinging to old ways of doing things that no longer work. Death has always been new beginnings to me so I am not dismayed about seeing this here.

Actually, this is probably the first time I've sought advice about my business through the Tarot so that's new itself. You really were spot on with this reading! I've only been thinking for the past week or so how much i'd love a massage or some healing or something fun like getting my nails done. This looks very much as I suspected!
First, I would like to know how you did this reading...if I may?
Did you draw the stones from a bag? Did you drop them on the chart?
I am really intrigued as to your methods, as I think you have a beautiful set here!

Those three stones say so much....

My question was concerning my usual Summer job....my spouse and I are partners who perform a variety show (actually, an old time Medicine show) at a local renaissance faire.

But we haven't gotten our contract yet, and the stalling makes me think they don't want us back.

The Hanged man in the center almost confirms that...although it does appear to be a matter of waiting...and waiting...everything about our Summer hangs in the balance. If we get this gig, it takes up a lot of our time and resources, and if we don't, then we have a little more freedom (but also a lot less money).

The Magician in 7th also seems to say a bit about this situation...
Since we also work together, this might indicate that we focus on us, rather than just the job...or turn out partnership and act into another creative venue. (we already have two more shows booked...just not the"big one") It would be awesome if this means a vacation...we keep saying how desperately we need a getaway that doesn't involve work...but I think that might just be wishful thinking! But I like that the Magician can usually create what he wants. We joked that if my Lenormand second edition sold as quick as the first, we would use some of the money to get away for a weekend...but it doesn't look like that is happening ...yet!


Death in second...I think this is the final word. we probably won't get the contract. I am willing to give that up. I can't give up much else...as I have already sold all my precious collections (including tarot) in order to afford the basics like rent and food. I really hope this doesn't mean I will have to scramble again to survive. But it might mean that...as this gig is the one that makes enough for us to survive the Summer.

Then again, there are always more opportunities in the Summer for other stuff (jobs using our other skills)

Seeing Death doesn't throw me though. I would actually be a bit relieved if we don't get this contract, so I can focus on art and other things for a change. It might mean that the spouse has to get a real job, and that's never a bad thing!

Well, it looks like the stones picked up on your question, even if I didn't quite get it. I passed right over the working WITH your partner part! I hope everything works out for you for the summer. I think the Magician in the reading is a sign that it will all work out for the best.

When I do the houses readings, I dump the stones out of the bag onto the table to the left of the houses circle, stir them around, and then with my eyes closed pick up 3 or 4 or 5, whatever my fingers touch first. (Maybe that's why I'm getting certain stones more often--and the flatter stones less often!!) Then I open my eyes and drop them all at once from a little above the center circle. They scatter nicely, but I can't drop them from very far above because then they spread out too far from the circle.

When I've played with runes (just a little) I tried holding them all in both hands and then letting a few trickle through between the hands. I might try that with the Arcana Stones for my next reading . . .

That's very cool. It's the same with my lithomancy stones...One of my sets has bigger stones,and so I have to choose a few by feel to drop in the reading...and yeah, my hand tends to grab certain stones more than others! It might be because of the smoothness...but also maybe because of the energy of that particular stone?
