Making your own Ciro deck?
My apologies if this is in the wrong place, I was unsure of where to put it. I was just sitting here with my Gilded, ToD, and Legacy thinking how I'd like to choose my favorite cards of the 3 and make my own deck. However, the cards are different sizes. The Gilded and Legacy are pretty close. But the ToD, it's a smidge shorter and a bit wider. I can't believe this but I'm actually thinking of trimming the ToD to be the same size so I can have my own personalized Ciro deck. Has anyone done this, or considered doing it? I've never trimmed any deck, much less only certain cards. I'm a bit afraid to do it. I'm going to go through and make a list of which ones I want in this deck and see just how many I'd have to trim, but I know the ToD is my favored of the 3 so I think I'd end up trimming quite a few. Can we get a real mass market version of the ToD so I don't have to do this?

what about the backs? are they the same in all 3 decks? just curious... ETA: though I am a self-confessed trimming enabler, I wouldn't trim the ToD special ed, definitely get the cheaper version if your scissors feel itchy... __________________ "Give up defining yourself - to yourself or to others. I did create my own "ultimate Ciro deck" once. I took my favorite cards from all three. Yes, I did do readings with it. But the size difference bugged me, so I took it apart. I still have my list though. I'm too much of a chicken to trim, even the tiny amount that would be required for this. BTW, you do know that there IS an official mass market edition of the ToD? I have both. The Big One that came with the CD, and the MM one that came in the hard-box with the 4 extra Palace cards. __________________ "My Clan is Ghost Cat [...] we do not seek conflict. I have both versions of the ToD. I was referring to the smaller "mass market" edition, although it really isn't. The backs are all different, as are the borders so I suppose I won't hack off the sides. I suppose I will just have to use all 3 of them more often.

I like this idea. I'm going to assemble a deck and use it in the Orphalese program...that way I don't have to cut up my actual decks. |
