This deck is cool. I have decided to approach it with the goal of connecting the TdM card inset to the image. In doing so, I have discovered that the cards before/after are very telling. For example, the 5 of Wands shows a woman dancing essentially naked on a table. She doesn't look happy. Three proper ladies walk by, ignoring this. "Spiritual Crisis" is a good, brief description of the 5 Wands. So, really, how does this card relate? Looking at a more balanced card, the 4 of Wands, one sees the three proper ladies in greater focus. Here they are - 3 proper ladies. Where is the 4th? What happened to her?? Something happened and that 5th wand shoved up into that perfect world and disrupted her life. She is now in a position where she must expose herself to those she once called friend. And they just walk on by. Cool deck. Seriously. |

I enjoyed working with the III Millennium too Chiska. Unusual, odd, weird, thought provoking. Probably not for the faint of heart... And beautiful. I was gifted my deck by Debra, and treasure it. |

Steampunk Tarot (Barbara Moore)
Okay the deck doesn't really push at the tarot envelope and offer anything new but it gives a nice visual alternative to the RWS - especially if you like Victoriana and the whole clockwork theme of steampunk mechanisms. Like I mentioned already on the forum, it's really an RWS in fancy dress. I have done a dozen readings with the Steampunk Tarot and they have worked out just fine. It is easy to read with and I would certainly use it again as something of a 'go-to' deck that doesn't stretch the brain too hard for those times when I want something readily accessible. Intuitively it lends itself to some great interpretation(s) - and would be the perfect springboard for some Jules Verne genre adventure stories... I like it very much - but didn't think I would until I actually used it.

First reading with Ghosts and Spirits was not great. hoping that changes as I go along. The cards are beautiful but just didn't read well for me.

This is something that I have found with all the Lisa Hunt decks that I have. Her themes don't really lend themselves to any narrative continuity from one card to the next as the images (and their sources) all seem very much self contained (I am speaking here of Fantastical Creatures, Animals Divine and Fairytale decks in particular). I have never been able to link cards from any of these decks successfully...so depsite liking the art work on her new deck I will be giving it a miss. |

You know, I did some great readings with the Fairy Tale Tarot, but they were all 1 or 2 card draws. Maybe her decks just aren't great for multiple card spreads--the one I did was the one in the lwb which was 5 cards-- because as you said, each card is its own little world. I think I will try just doing 1 or 2 card draws with the deck and see how it goes.

I am so sorry to hear that. I did a celtic cross with the deck, and for the first time ever with a Lisa Hunt deck- I was able to read it intuitively.![]() Do you mind posting where the problem was? Maybe we can do a reading exchange or something to see if that will help out?

Only monday and I am already counting the days until I get to change deck. Crystal Visions will make an excellent gift-deck though. For some young relative that might wanna learn about the tarot. Or as a trade-away deck. It's really nothing wrong with it, just it is so jarringly not ME! These young white girls with flowy dresses and long tresses annoy the crap out of me. __________________ To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. Russian Tarot of St. Petes....
Well, so far so good. Images are tiny, and the frame around them is BIG. Still, since it's a RWS clone (which I hadn't really realized or remembered)so it's easy for me to read with, and feels familiar. Not a favorite, but certainly not the worst deck I've read with this year, at least so far.

I am being bad and keep being tempted by other decks. I have been doing a lot of Lenormand reading this week. Maybe I'm just not in the headspace for a deck that requires me to do a lot of thinking? I will continue with the daily draws at the very least, but I may need to revisit this deck at a later time because the one thing I can tell is that I don't want to get rid of it. I can feel something there. I'm frustrated instead of bored, which is a good thing! (The last time I felt this was with Etteilla, lol, and now I've made those decks the primary study focus for the year!)
