My sis, you are so right on that, as i did add her face as a correction to what Debra
had critiqued. and it work, however at 4:30 am...i was getting pretty wonky!!!

Re: 7. The Snake card
Looks like everyone prefers the 'pink' snake...plus i already have 19 'extra' cards made ...YIKES...
i do love the green one too...but it just is too similar to grass, trees, and plant coloring
which doesn't let it stand out enough...too much green in an outdoor scene.

I didn't realize that about the Birds card. I notice now that in my French Cartomancy deck the birds are building a nest so it certainly fits!

I do like the pink snake very much as well. A serpent is a shocking thing to find under a rosebush, that illustrates the meaning very well. I do like the color of the green one but agree with the others that the pink snake is a more successful card image as the green one blends in a bit too much.

Myrrha, it is fun to go back and look at some of the old lennie decks and notice things that
we might have missed before...i do that all the time and i'm still seeing things on the cards
that i have missed previously!

...now i am sitting here and wondering 'which' card to do next

i am almost done with the Chi deck...only 8 more...YAY...but today, i am really just playing
around on ebay YIKES...6 pairs of shoes later ... not cheap ones either
...got to get back to reality and do some more card work...

...maybe the ship? or the book?... in the thinking process about those...

@everyone:
My 'Mysteries of the Old Castle' (MOC ?) lennie deck got here today...and i have to say:
that i think my Sun card looks similar...(just the sun part) to this MOC lennie deck
(note: i am keeping my sun card...i think there are just a few really good public domain
cards to go around...also i see that she has used the same public domain image for the
Garden (Park) card that i was planning on using...so...i will look for another image for that one...
...and same with the book...

i have had these same images held aside for several months (before i announced my SC deck)
...oh well...just so you know i am not copying her...i have just come across the same
'limited' number of good public domain images and her and i must be on the same wave length somewhat
...same as Chronta's green snake...

...just wanted you all to know...

...Oh, i do like the MOC deck, but there are a few cards i am not really that crazy about...but
then again, that is the same with any deck i guess

I must confess I don't even know what 'Shabby Chic' even means but I liked many of the first images that were posted in this thread so started following your deck's creation with interest. I should look it up one of these days, but it's probably also not something that is my style. While I was initially on the fence about this deck b/c of its flowery nature, your decision to add astrology (especially timing) to the cards and your booklet, made this a must buy for me, and I am excited to see its completion.

Great job on your final snake card, and I think the child card is great too. How did her face turn out? If you have problems getting it right, I thought your first version without any face was absolutely fine.

I agree with you, not seeing the face of the child was absolutely no problem for me and it didn't remove anything from the meaning of the card.

The child card's face is FIXED and it looks great now...better with the face...I love it more now.

LadyZelda, when you get the deck, you are going to like it so much when you see
the child with her corrected face. ...because of Debra's critique...she caused
me to edit and make a superb child with a face!
