MRP boxes
I know most of you are collectors. So how do you do it? how do you keep the boxes for the sets intact? My box for the Fantastic Menagerie has came apart and the Fairytale seems to be following suit. the glue on the sides are coming off. ill include a picture. its prob no big deal. I would imagine that putting glue on it should fix it..however I am pretty surprised that its coming a part. i figured they would hold up better. I live in the desert so I doubt its an issue with humidity. is this because i stack them on top of each other? Am i somehow storing them wrong? __________________ ☆ "I will keep you safe. I just got the Tarot of Vampyres a few months ago and the box has come unglued already. I have moved it around quite a bit... but not overly so I wouldn't think... it's just big, bulky, the materials are flimsy and it doesn't have a secure place inside for the deck. I've got them in a ziplock bag and they're just kind of banging around in there with the book when I move it. More decks should come in boxes with tighter fits and heavier/thicker materials. __________________ Obi-Wan Kenobi: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future. How are your cards holding up in the ziplock bag? I once put my fenestra in a ziplock bag. This was awhile back ago and I was living in Philadelphia at the time. The cards ended up warping due to the humidity? __________________ ☆ "I will keep you safe. You keep me wild." Avatar by Victoria Francis Sent From My HTC Vivid |

![]() I could probably glue the box, but I just don't like it. It would probably come unglued again easily because of the way it's made... which is just like the Shadowscapes. Big box with book and deck, nothing to hold the cards in place (no inner box, just came in shrinkwrap) and an insert to keep the book and deck separated. __________________ Obi-Wan Kenobi: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future. Well, mine are in a china hutch, everything is stored on end, and because it's not a book case they don't get knocked around much. I think a dedicated tarot shelf would work just as well. I also put my regular boxed deck on top of my larger boxes for sets. But they are so tightly packed when that happens it doesn't cause damage. If I am using the deck regularly, I keep it in a bag not a box. __________________ *Ad Astra* |

I haven't bought any MRP decks, but I have a small tuck box for my Ellen Cannon Reed Witches Tarot that I carry inside the bag with the cards inside the box. After so many years of carrying it around it got banged up, torn, etc. I used some clear Scotch brand shipping tape to "reconstitute" the box. It did a wonderful job! It tightened up the loose/lax feel to the box where it had been bent or torn, and it gave it it's original sturdy shape back. __________________ ♠♦♦"We are quicksilver, a fleeting shadow, a distant sound. of course, the card stock could also be different from my fenestra... But I was using the ziplock bag as a tarot bag because I didnt think to save the box. I was using the deck regularly because it was pretty much my only deck at the time and it still warped. It did that weird thing were it kind of bent length wise so it looked like I was shuffling the deck that way but I really wasnt.. __________________ ☆ "I will keep you safe.
