Buddha Tarot - Four of Lotuses

Freddie

The lotuses are like the Wands of the Rider-Waite pack and represent fire. I personally feel that the divinatory meanings generally ascribed to the Waite pack work well with The Buddha Tarot. A simple meaning may be given to this card such as 'The coming of love' etc...

The couple are in the act of love in a blacket that appears to be in the shape of a conch shell. The conch shell is a sacred item for both Hindu and buddhist alike and is considered to be one of the eight auspicuious symbols of Buddha. As a proclaiming battle horn, the conch is akin to the bugle. It is an emblem of power, authority and sovereignty whose blast is believed to banish evil spirits, avert natural disasters, and scare away poisonous creatures.

I feel the the conch/blanket is a symbol of keeping each other safe and loved up without any outside evils invading their relationship.

Any other ideas folks?

Blessings,

Freddie
