Quite an interesting post, turtleback, and welcome to Aeclectic. I do like much of what Bardon has written, though, like you also seem to, work my own system. One cannot but be curious as to your relation - or indeed identity - with William Blystone, given your post, and such detailed pre-knowledge of the book. Which, incidentally, I look forward to. Keep us posted on its publication dates. I suspect this thread will be moved to the Books Forum in due time

I too tend to personally prefer Swords with Fire, as mentioned in a couple of other posts (for example, in the thread Do the Swords have a Bad Rap?). With regards to the Kabalah, what is interesting is that early Trees did not have 22 'paths' at all. Some had none, some had 16. On the other hand, the 22 letters were connected with the 12 signs of the zodiac and with the seven traditional planets (as well as the three elements of Fire, Air and Water) quite early on, as the Sefer Yetzirah (possibly from the 2nd century) demonstrates. The most 'popular' version of the Tree is the Kircher version, though since the wonderful Kabalistic contributions from R. A. Kaplan, other versions, including a number which link the three mother letters horizontally, the seven doubles vertically, and the twelve singles diagonally, have also appeared. With regards to the practical aspects to the book, again, I look forward to reading it. It is healthy to see that other authors are producing material which broadens the specific views of members of the GD. That you are not the author mentioned only means that you may yet be another author to add to this stream - either now or in the future
