The Hierophant

LWB said:
Deep in trance, Gandalf directs his senses out from his physical body, to commune with his higher self, and thus accesses the powers and abilities contained within.

The quartz crystal embedded in his staff crackles visibly with electric sparks.

In the distance we see the sparkling lights from the stars, hinting that they too might be sources of power from which he draws.

He works this deep magic in a shrine or temple of some kind.

The horse head emblem suggests his own steed Shadowfax, or a link with the Rohirrim, the horse people.

Gazing down upon him, an owl signifies wisdom.

Divinatory meaning:

It indicates a man of influence, guidance, discipline, fitting in, and accepting the status quo

This is another of my favorites, so surreal and beautiful.

Night has fallen, five stars shine brightly in the sky, one shines the brightess. This star is your guide, your hope, your faith, your direction. A large owl hoots on a tree branch above Gandalf head, he speaks of great wisdom to Gandalf. Gandalf stand in a state of meditation, with his arms outreached towards the pillar with a carving of his Steed Shadowfax, which symbolizes movement, civilization, trust and travel. On the pillar just below the horse's head is greenery, ivy symbolizing growth. In Gandalf's right hand he hold his staff with a large crystal, energized with lightning, a symbol of his power.

Divinatory meaning:

Intuition, guidance, energy, movement, growth, wisdom, intelligence, hope, faith, trust
