It looks like this Hierophant is in the same room as the Emperor, with a pillar on each of his side as well. He seems to be there to advise the Emperor on critical matters, and right now he's in a moment of deep reflection, communicating with the gods to find answers and enlightenment. I like that he's simply dressed with no ornamentations and without a crown, the only sign of his station is his crosier, he seem closer to people, more down to earth. His robe is green and represents earth (Capricorn).
