Waite’s ‘Tradition’ .

Waite’s ‘Tradition’ .
(From a Masonic Perspective.)

I found this informative and interesting:

The Masonic Career of A.E. Waite.

AQC Vol. 99. 1986 - [ Ars Quatuor Coronatorum – “ The Lodge was founded in 1884 (consecrated 1886) by nine brethren who were intent on using an evidence-based approach to the study of Masonic history and research into Freemasonry. This innovative approach was intended to replace the imaginative writings of earlier authors on the history of Freemasonry. This new style and approach was later to be referred to as the 'authentic school' of Masonic research.” ]

Very interesting. I was trying to find out information about secret societies he may have belonged to. Him and P.C.Smith, particularly in connection to his work on tarot.

Waite is highly regarded in certain Canadian lodges. I can dig up references if need be.

If you like. Stick em here and we can have a Waite ref thread.

AQC is THE Masonic reference though . I'm not sure what the Lodges of 'Canadia'* have put out in regard to Waite.

* The name of the country where Canadians live - according to our Prime Minister
