Astra, do you know Alain Boucher's Tarot de la Rea? It's a tarot in which everyone is masked. It has a very modern, quite simple style, but I really like it - great use of colour.

anyways, i updated the masque yet again.

with an improved lovers card and the four aces. i depicted the aces as big representations of the 4 suits being held by angelic beings representing the element that corresponds to each suit. the majors are nearly through. only the fool and the devil unfinished. meanwhile, i did a count on them cards and just realized that i've a lotta cards left to do (40 or so)!!! so much for motivation! lol. but i really wanna get this finished, i mean, its become part of my daily routine and, well, i enjoy doing this.

after a long time, i've also revamped the vanessa tarot, and added a number of cards there. it also has more information in the site, as compared to its previous layout. made the layout a bit cutesy, to go with the effect of the deck. also included some image details from the deck every now and then in the site's text. while still doing the masque (some other new cards coming out in future updates), i got my vanessa tarot muse blowing gently to my ear some ideas, so i decided to sketh them yet again. the finished cards are on the site: www.geocities.com/vanessatarot some descriptions of the new cards are available in the updates part of the site (first page)

the new cards are:

3 of cups (wif a hepburn inspired girl in the middle)
6 of cups (that post-opera look)
the sun (model in the desert look lol)
the moon (retro girl)
the devil (naughty naughty)
justice (lady justice)

and the universe, formerly world card (she's one in a million! LOL)

(edited to add: i tried putting urls that link directly to the cards, but they don't show up.)

i'm also happy that the major arcana of this deck's taking shape already. with the masque, i'm now focused on the minor arcana cards since most of the majors are through.

I can't believe I've completely missed this thread. Welcome back Blue Fusion. I have to say that I LOVE your cards - I don't usually go for whimsical art styles but I really like the Masque tarot and the Tarot of the Lepidopteran People is gorgeous.

Ooh blue fusion...you didn't tell me you put ME in the Devil card!

Think she'd look better as a brunette though - it would also stand out more against the red background.

These are all lovely, but I absolutely love the Empress of the Tarot of the Lepidopteran People. If you sold prints of your work -- just individual cards, perhaps in postcard size -- I would buy that one in a heartbeat.

The Moon in the Lepidopteran tarot -- is that a sly joke... the Moon, mooning us? How cheeky!
