I do, too. I'd far rather give gifts than always make things to sell. I think I've given away more beadwork than I've sold, by far. And the same when I was painting. It isn't that people won't buy my stuff, either. They will, but I like knowing I made someone happy more than the money.

Agreed, and just doing something'good' for someone else brings it's own spiritual rewards
You ladies are my kind of people, can not tell you how many things I have made and given in my life time.
I make really pretty barrettes and with fringe, too. I don't mind admitting I'm good with beads and my looms. And I have hair down past my waist. But I don't own one of my own barrettes so what I ended up wearing to the hospital was one of my metal barrette blanks---no beadwork or anything---just the metal part. People probably thought, "that senile old woman doesn't know she lost the decoration off that barrette."
I'm trying to figure out the box size, so I looked it up & there are 2 medium size boxes - one is
11 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 6"
and one is
14" x 12" x 3 1/2"
Which one is the size to use for US shipping? Am I looking at the right thing?
Yes, the post office has different medium boxes; one is deeper and shorter than the other. They hold roughly the same cubic volume but simply configured differently so you can go with either depending on the shape of the 'goodies' that you accumulate. Does that make sense?
