Wamart -- a definition of the middle of the road


Walmart is very much aligned along "middle america values" -- however you want to define that. They don't provide magazines or books that highlight sexuality (other than the weekly movie-star expose magazines) or highly controversial subjects. They follow a popularist program -- sell what everyone wants, don't stock anything else that won't move within a few days.

That being said, I never expected to see much "new age", astrology or tarot related materials marketed there. Low cost clothes, tools, household stuff, videos (no R-rated), electronics, etc.
