Numerology: Interactions between Numerological Elements
Goodwin's twin book set on numerology is one of the few books I've seen that considers interactions of the numbers. For him, the number value of a given numerological element must necessarily be considered in relation to number values of other numerological elements. For example, he sees the the 5 Life Path and 9 Expression combination as "usually discordant". The combination of two identical numbers, e.g., 5 Life Path and 5 Expression, would be "usually very discordant". On the other hand, other combinations, e.g., 5 Life Path and 3 Expression, would be "usually harmonious". Other authors tell the reader to calculate each of the various numerological elements, but they don't say whether to consider the numerical interactions between those elements. Some are simply silent on the question. On the other hand, Alan Oken indicates that a given numerological element would, at a particular point in time, be more important to the querent than another numerological element, [my hypothetical example: The 5 Life Path could make itself more felt in the querent's life at a particular point in time than the 3 Expression], thus not having to deal with the numerological interaction issue. What are your thoughts on whether to consider numerological interaction? It sure lends depth - as well as complexity - to the analysis. Thanks for any replies! |

From what I've studied I feel it is like reading the cards or any subject. Learn your own way. I like to just look at what the number means when combining them. In tarot some people use reversals some don't, so what's right? Like numerology, I find the guidelines & then learn my own style. I just keep adding information as I find it. Also learning the positive & the negitive in the numbers. It can be experience in reading numbers & blending them to find your own way. Don't know if I'm right or wrong but it's an idea. |
