Alain Bocher and the 1760 Conver Tarot de Marseille
Here's a link to an interesting article by Kris Hadar. Hadar comments on the special role of the Conver deck as an initiatory tarot** and on Bocher's role in bringing the Conver to the public light in an era when the only Marseille deck known and available to the public was the Grimaud/Marteau. http://krishadar.com/A/ZoneMembresA/....asp?na=n&pa=p **Note: This is a major emphasis in Bocher's writings, e.g., Cahiers du Tarot, volume 1. |
