Anticlockwise: The wheel of fortune

Just a thought. 99 times out of a 100 I "see" the wheel turning clockwise. A couple of weeks ago it looked as if it was turning the other way , with Anubis (?? I think this is who it is ?) bottom right , pushing it back the other way . He looked like he was having a hard time of it , but determined ! What exactly is his significance here?

Does anyone else see it as going the opposite way ? And what would that mean anyway ? Outwitting destiny ?

It seems to me that the heads of the snake and the jackal are turned in a counterclockwise direction, along with the sacred name in the wheel. But "TAROT" in the wheel spells clockwise. So it's both ways at once? Any way you see it, though, the wheel spins without stop, and only the axis is the still-point ( where the lines meet).
Emily Dickinson has a poem about a spinning wheel, " The Outer From The Inner," which refers to the "fine unvarying axis that regulates the wheel, though spokes ... fling a dust the while." Maybe the wheel is layered like the earth itself, with surfaces outside and essence at the core.

I remember when I first got a heavy flash off this card,
and it was like the Anubis creature was looking at me
and I could see him actually sliding on his back going up.
His eyes said, 'What do I care..? I'm floating here for fun!'

Did you ever read that when the books are open it means
a time of peace, but if they're closed it means there's a war?
Something about the gnostic teachings, but after awhile hey,
I just like this card because the Sphinx is so amazingly cool.

Take a bicycle and turn it upside down. Balance it on the seat and handlebars. Now give the front wheel a good clockwise spin. With the wheel still spinning, walk around the bike and look at the wheel from the other side. It is spinning anti-clock wise.

That wheel is spinning in opposite directions at the same time, obviously an impossibility.

Like Tarot itself. If it were more logical, it wouldn't work.

Sometimes it helps to approach the whole thing withershins.

So, the wheel is spinning whatever way you see it spinning. (As long as you keep in mind that it is spinning the other way also.)

The Wheel of Fortune was pictured as a "junky"
contraption. Badminton puppets and a monkey
had a tenuous hold on a wobbly claptrap device
that would crumble to pieces at a single touch...
