Hmm. I wish sellers wouldn't use the word "signed" in reference to the publisher's "stamp" on the 2 de Deniers.

I'll place a small bid anyway

If you want a 1930 Grimaud but don't want to buy or can't afford a copy of an actual 1930 Grimaud deck, the next best thing is the Paul Marteau reproduction deck published by Dusserre. The Dusserre Marteau (not to be confused with the Dusserre Tarot de Marseille de Dodal) is a photoreproduction of an actual 1930 Grimaud deck.

Wink

I had little doubt this would end up outta my league. But yes, I can now afford this notorious Dusserre. Was actually on my way to retrieve the info.

(PS I know you were making a general recommendation. Just sharing an update.)

Just for information

I asked the seller about this deck and confirmed the
following:

1. There are 2 YELLOW DICE on the table of "LE BATELEUR":
So this deck can't be a 1930 first edition.

2. There's no tax stamp on the Ace of Coins:
This shows that this deck was made after 1945.

3. There's a caption "B.P.GRIMAUD PARIS" on each trump:
I guess the deck was made by around 1962, when J.M.Simon
(A Cardmaker in Nancy, not Paris) bought up B.P.Grimaud.
The Grimaud cards made in 1970s, which I've seen by far,
had only "B.P.GRIMAUD" --- that is, "PARIS" was missing.

So, I guess this deck should date "1945-1962"...
(NOTE this is only a GUESS! )

...Which is another reason not to beat oneself up bidding on some of these...It seems like many sellers on eBay aren't really very knowledgeable about Tarot. I'm sure some are, but I haven't come across them yet...(I don't often go tarot diving on eBay, though either).
