"Fingerpainting"?

I've read a few posts where one shuffles the cards and reverses some by "fingerpainting". Just wondering what that is and how to do it.

I think that means where you shuffle by spreading all the cards out in a random pile, moving them around a bit with your hands until they're mixed, and gathering them back into a stack again.
