I was curious about that too - they are wider and shorter than the other Thoth versions. Have they added a little extra border or just altered the images slightly to fit a wider card? I'm really looking forward to these cards getting here. ![]() When they do get here, I'll put some scans up of the old and new Thoths. __________________ # # Emily # # ----------------------------------- A good student never stops learning Having fun with the Liber T |

Sorry for being late with the scans, but here they are: click! click! You can compare the new standart version vs. my trimmed Müller-Deck (De luxe, blue box). As the scan shows, there are some differences in the colours and the contours are thicker (is this the right word?) in the "old" deck. __________________ in love. Thanks for putting the scans up - I can see now what you mean about the colours being different - the new version Thoth blue looks green tinted, almost like the green-tinged decks of old. It will be interesting to see how it compares against an old greenie.

Thank you, Emily! I've never seen the green deck, so I can't compare them both. Must have a look at the cards-section. As I wrote-the new nuances don't bother me and I really like the size of the cards. Well done in my opinion. __________________ in love. |

Nightgarden - can you measure them and give us the exact card sizes ? This proportion thing is interesting.... __________________ ~ ~ I probably shouldn't be here. Awesome, NG. If you look at the pip cards. you can see that the image is in fact, wider. Look closely at teh 5/cups - there is more image showing on the side of the cups. However, I don't see that with the Emperor card. Yes, do measure the image sizes, per Gregory's request... Bitte shoen! __________________ Tarotist, musician, writer. Sehr gerne, sravana und gregory! ![]() Standart is 7,0 cm x 10,3 cm / 2,6 inch x 4,06 inch. Don't have the pocket at home, but I've checked the Königsfurt-site: 5,7 cm x 8,4 cm / 2,24 inch x 3,31 inch __________________ in love. |

I've just admitted defeat and ordered the standard size too - I really like the idea of not being able to understand the keywords on the cards, and I like the muted colours. I think the pocket will be a nice one to be able to carry round and I thought I might just as well order the larger one too, just incase they sell out.

I have the new Urania standard size, colors are muted and details are lost when compared to the Green or Swiss versions.. I have created scans of some of the cards, will 3 versions compared together... I do like the size of the standard for a portable deck, the azimuth ratio is _wider_ on some card (and the back.. making the circle round, which looks nice, instead of oval) .. and the white border has been colored ... has me thinking of painting it on one of my decks ..
