Interesting images from "Sacro Speco, Subiaco"

I was doing a search trying to find out more about "Maestro di San Silvestro" because I found this picture of the Triumph of Death found on this page to be very interesting:
http://www.philipresheph.com/a424/gallery/piclib/piclib4.htm

It's a Fresco at Sacro Speco, Subiaco.

So a search on "Sacro Speco, Subiaco" brought up this page:
http://www.romeartlover.it/Subiaco.html

Scroll down and look at the picture to the right of Pope Innocentius III... Pope Agatho I. It is noted as having a 15th Century painter.

So now to read more about Sacro Speco, Maestro di San Silvestro, and Pope Agatho I.

best,

Wow I can see what you mean with the triumph of Death. The picture of Pope Agatho I really reminded me more of the Le Papess/High Priestess than anything else

The inscription on the book reads:

Pax huic domui Et omnibus (h)abitantibus in ea.

Peace to this house and to all who live here (from the Gospel of Luke).
