i had the romeo and giulietta deck by scapini but didn't like it.

do you mean fulgour that scapini's work in general is a joke?
if so, i have to disagree, his medieval tarot is very popular and highly praised, whereas his tarocchi de vetrate is based on very serious kabala study, not even to mention the stunning artwork.

I have both decks. The Romeo and Guiliette Tarot is an aquired taste I think. The art is really nice and intrigate. But I have to admit that when I first saw the death card, it kinda freaked me out a bit. I find it funny now. I won't consider it much of a reading deck, more an art deck.

The Durer colored version by Gaudenzi I like very much. I didn't expect much from it, but from the moment I opened it I loved it. It is definately useable for readings imo. I mostly like the minors and his use of animals to portraite the different suits. Definately recommended that one.
