I don't know if it's cause I'm using a MAC or because I simply can't figure it out - but the only way I've found to do quotes is to copy and paste the desired text into the post. The problem with this, when replying, is that it's not boxed out as a "quote". Feeling untechie...http://www.tarotforum.net/images/icons/icon9.gif Keigh |

Also...as you can see by my mail above, I can't seem to get the icons INSIDE the message! Feeling less and less technically savvy as the day goes on :-( Keigh |

What icon are you talking about? To quote, click "quote" at the bottom right of each post. Look at the html tags that are in the message box and those are what you have to remember to type. __________________ Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither |

The key piece is that if you edit a quote, be careful to make sure the "[/Quote]" is ALL there when you are done (I always cut off the "[/" part.) When it is in your reply screen the emoticons will look like scrip. You will see : rolleyes: (I deliberately messed it up a bit to show) but when you preview the post or actually post it, you will see: ![]() Ace __________________ Reading Tarot cards: the most fun you can have and keep your clothes on! Thanks for the advice - I will try. The icon is the "code" that came up after "feeling untechie" it was supposed to be a frown. (see below) http://www.tarotforum.net/images/icons/icon8.gif |

There is a list of codes for smilies and icons here: http://www.tarotforum.net/misc.php?do=showsmilies You can also access that list by clicking on the "smilies" link at the bottom left of a page... where it says "Smilies are ON" under "Posting Rules". __________________ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -- Mahatma Gandhi Your life affects others' whether you realize it or not.
