Jupiter/Scorpio

Myself, remembering with wince and dread ..the previous times Jupiter/Scorpio transited. In my case, very unpleasant but inevitable considering its relation to my aspects. Totally not cheerily anticipating this transit. I would say in fact that the times that Jupiter transited through scorpio/my IC/4th house..its been the ending of something or someone, terrible on the emotional and mental sanity, yet the dawning of a new era that cannot be prevented and that seems to build up over the course of the following several years to a cresendo point until it stabalizes...for the next transformation. Anyone have thoughts to share about Jupiters upcoming Scorpio transit?.

Sounds like it would be an extreme transit with jupiter's large size and scorpio's extremeness; not to mention its placement in your 4th house Des. I should be lucky then to have mine placed in domicile pisces.

I just realized that Jupiter was entering Scorpio, which seems to be the message that this combination has (suprise realization). Enhancing that energy is the Sun in proximity to Jupiter as he enters deep, dark, Scorpio. 12 years ago, I was 12, soem disturbing thigns but a lot of good times to be had, I made connections with scorpios then, now I wonder what will be next.
I am glad that Pluto is direct again.

Also note the negative (not necessarily bad) meaning in that all the good luck/expansion/optimism etc Jupiter brought to Librian things like art, legalities, relationships etc has been detracted although the effects of his transit there may still remain.

IŽll have to get back to you when the transit occurs, since Scorpio is in my 4th house as well, plus, both mars and saturn are there too.
I was too young (9) during the last transit of Jupiter through Scorpio, but because of your post I will pay extra attention!

Wait, wait, wait...What does this mean? How do transits affect one's chart? You mean it affects us all differently? Sorry, astrology noob here.

Oh, yes!

For Kittaine. Oh yes, astrology is like politics; its all personal. Any transit will affect different people differently. And while Jupiter at a certain point in the zodiac will make various aspectual contact with many people, affecting each of them differently, it will also not be making any contact with other peoples charts. So, we all get our turn and we all get treated differently.

Thats what makes this so much fun to study and to follow. Dave

my natal jupiter is in Scorpio, in the 8th house....12 years ago, I was a brand new mom, with a very large baby boy. (expansive?) I have not been expecting this to be a negative thing.

Thanks, Dave!

How do I find out how this transit affects me? What parts of my chart should I be looking at?

Kittaine,

You'll notice most posters have been examining their past experiences w/Jupiter in Scorp. This is a pretty good way to gauge transiting Jupiter's effect. The last time Jupiter was in Scorpio was 1993/4. Of course things will be different b/c the other planets are in different places, but also b/c you have changed!

I would also look at:
- the house transiting Jupiter will be in
- any aspects it will make
- the houses w/Sagittarius/Pisces on the cusp
- Jupiter's natal house placement and aspects
- other past Jupiter transits, if notable effects occured

Just to get you started
