Creedite! ... and just wanted to share :)

joya250

Hello all,

Went up to Heaven & Earth's Crystal Convention up in Burlington, VT this past weekend... and came back with a bunch of goodies. ... interestingly, I have become attracted to what may be considered the more 'obscure' stones. Aquired Apatite, Creedite, a piece of meteorite, Sunstone (okay, not that obscure), Zincite (Polish Zincite, thus debatible if "authentic" by crystal 'experts'), Danubrite, Kyanite (love this one!!!), a Black Tourmaline pendent... and a beautiful Azeztite & Moldavite ring!!! :) (and believe it or not... my credit card didn't burn up in flames, haha)

Attached is a picture of the Creedite. I just think it is the neatest thing!!!

(heh heh, can you tell i'm excited?)

Also, if anyone has any personal experience with some of the more obscure stones I've listed -- I'd love to hear it. So far, I have felt some wacky vibrations from my Kyanite, that I've taken to bed with me the past 2 nights. Good stuff!

Oooooooo wow.... that is gorgeous. And it looks BIG. Thanks for sharing. I'm not familiar with creedite and will now go look it up. Have you had a chance to work with it yet? Please share what it does for you.

Also, the rest of your stones sound really interesting as well. I'd love to see more pics (hint, hint). Can't see too many pics of stones, now, can we?

[whisper] I'm a stone-porn-a-holic [/whisper] AND PROUD OF IT!!!

LOL at both of you. :)

Ros, no it was only $15. Not expensive at all. And it's so very cool!

Wizzle, hello. :) It's actually not that big. The picture is a close-up. The stone is prob. 2" in diameter. I'm not familiar with creedite either... but it was so neat, I couldn't pass it up. I haven't worked with it yet, but I just love looking at it. It feels like a real cheerful stone.

I will definitely take and share more pics. It's so fun to be able to share my excitement with people who feel similar about such things.

Hi Joya .. your picture is really beautiful. I am going to the gem show in Burlington, ontario , Can. on Saturday. What shall I buy ? My problem is I have lots of stones I have bought but don't do anything with them except admire them. I am going to try to get something to store them in and label them instead of thinking "that pretty red one" , etc.
I have lots of Amyethist(can't spell it for some reason.. purple) and kind of know what that is for but have to get past that and stop buying them. I have jade, sapphire, diamonds of course, opal. Lots of semi precious but what should I buy ? Hope you answer me before Saturday, on the other hand they are open on Sunday too.
Fun of funs, it is a tradition, I take all my grandchildren to the show and give them money to shop and help them. This year there are four as the eldest is now in University. They just love it and wait all year and have collections.

hi memries :)

I can't tell you what to buy, silly!

You'll know what calls to you when you see it. But if you really want to plan ahead of time, I recommend getting a book.

I would suggested The Crystal Bible. This is good because it is not overwhelming and has pictures of the each of the stones listed, as well as brief info on their physical structure, as well as their metaphysical and healing attributes.

I'm sure you'll have a blast at the show. Have fun -- and report back with your new goodies!!!

Thanks very much Joya... I will try to buy The Crystal Bible at the show and lacking that I will order it from Amazon.com.
I am so excited to being going there... it is just crazy but always feel so at home surrounded by all the minerals. They have a piece of a huge meteorite there and I always have a good look at that. They had a wonderful globe of the earth all inset with lapis lazuli, etc. but couldnt afford that but still and all hope it is there again this year to look at. Also they had bags I am hoping they have some suitable for tarot bags. My daughter is going to make me some but can't wait. They have a sand pit for the children and they dig for stones. They took so many I was embarrased so paid the lady more ! Will let you know for sure.

Moldovite

Joya congraulations on your purchases you certainly have picked some great stones :)

Here's a thread from a while ago on Moldovite:

I have some Apatite and it is a great stone. Very friendly and bubbly type vibes come off mine. It ranges from green to blue so there are some great calming properties to the stone (I am a Pisces and stones that are sea colours are great for me)

Hi all !
Went to the gem show and bought a lovely piece of Creedite. I looked for it because of this thread but then could not resist its beauty. It is more golden in color than the picture on here. Not quite sure what to do with it except to admire it. Also bought an amyethist bracelet, all dark small stones sewn onto some kind of netting and quite wide. I am kind of short for such a large cuff but love it just the same. That plus paying for all the children's choices left me down to $2 for coffee LOL. Everyone had a wonderful day and we found a stone that glows very yellow with a black light on it. That was a winner for sure. The show is still on tomorrow and I can find a bank machine. Saw just beautiful specimens there today so might go back. The children just loved it and so very keen, it does my heart good that they love part of creation too instead of just Bratz or Barbie. My grandson was gone, he was in the soap stone carving room and made two pieces ,along with one grandaughter. She said at supper, she wants to spend her life soapstone carving. LOL LOL
