I bought the Book of Thoth by Aleister Crowley long before getting hold of the actual deck. But I still have no idea what he's going on about! Does anyone know of any good books which will help me work with the deck better? Thanx Naomi xx |

thoth
catwoman-- 'The Book of Thoth' is probably one of the most difficult books on the tarot. Crowley is less than direct and at times extremely obscure. A fabulous book on the Thoth deck-- which is very clear and understandable-- is 'The Tarot Handbook' by Angeles Arrien. It runs through the deck card by card, explaining not only meanings, but also symbology, compatable cards and so on. It's an amazingly comprehensive study. LVX steve |

Yes his books are a little awkward to read aren't they ![]() However Akron Hajo Banzhof wrote The Crowley Tarot, The Handbook To The Cards ISBN 0-88079-715-0. It's very easy to read and covers each cards in various degrees. I thoroughly recommend it.
