Questions on starting a new deck
I have been interested in creating my own deck for some time, but I have no idea where to begin. I'm not very artistic, and have a cursory knowlege of programs like Paintshop and the like. Are there any suggestions one can provide on the beginning stages of the process? Any suggestions on what to do about images to use? Helpful hints? Thanks in advance ![]() onyx |

Good for you! PSP is a fine program for this kind of thing. I’m a newbie to Tarot, but I cut my teeth on PSP then graduated to Adobe Photoshop. I’m self-taught, so I know how it is to learn on your own! I’m doing my own first deck, using both programs (if you’d like to see it, click here: http://www.real-lady4ever.com/Tarot/Home.html. I just study the card in question, then cruise through my graphics collection and let my intuition guide me, just like I do when I read. If I don’t find anything I like there, I google it, using the same process; I just check carefully to make sure the images I collect aren’t copywritten. If you wish, PM me, and I’d be glad to try to guide you through the process! CJ |
